Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Bites are a delightful treat made with puff pastry, coated in a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 12 biscuit bites 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a spacious bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, 1/4 cup of sugar, and cinnamon, whisking until uniform.
  3. Incorporate the cold, diced butter into the dry ingredients using a fork or your fingertips until the texture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk, mixing gently until just combined; avoid overworking the dough.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and lightly knead it a couple of times.
  6. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1/2 inch and use a biscuit cutter or glass to create circular shapes.
  7. Arrange the shapes on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are a light golden brown.
  8. While the pastries are baking, combine the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar with the tablespoon of cinnamon in a small bowl.
  9. Once the pastries are finished baking, allow them to cool for about 5 minutes.
  10. While still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until thoroughly coated.
  11. Serve warm for a sweet treat!

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is chilled for the best texture.
  • Do not overwork the dough to keep the biscuits light and fluffy.
  • These bites are best served warm.
