- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for filling)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold almond flour mixture into the egg whites.
- Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes.
- Let cool before filling with cinnamon buttercream.
- Mix softened butter, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla for the filling.
- Spread or pipe the filling between two macaron shells.
Notes
- Make sure to let the macarons rest before baking for a better texture.
- These can be stored in the fridge for a few days or frozen for longer storage.
