- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
- Frost with caramel sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped nuts to the batter.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
