- 6 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

- 3 large eggs, separated

Instructions
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add the sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Incorporate the egg yolks into the melted chocolate, then fold in the egg whites followed by the whipped cream.
- Divide the mixture into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter mousse, use egg whites only and skip the yolks.
- Serve with whipped cream or chocolate shavings on top.
