- 1 package phyllo dough
- 2 cups chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or almonds)
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup Parmida Chocolate Spread
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer phyllo dough in a greased baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the dough.
- Spread Parmida Chocolate Spread evenly over the nuts.
- Continue layering phyllo and nuts, finishing with a layer of phyllo on top.
- Cut into diamonds and bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, vanilla, and cinnamon; bring to a boil.
- Once baklava is done baking, pour syrup over it immediately and allow to cool.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of orange blossom water to the syrup.
- Ensure the phyllo dough remains covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
