A rich and indulgent tart featuring layers of flaky pastry, chocolate, and hazelnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix hazelnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Layer phyllo dough in a tart pan, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle hazelnut mixture and chocolate layers in between phyllo layers.
  5. Top with remaining phyllo and brush with butter.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, combine water, honey, and vanilla to make syrup and bring to a boil.
  8. Pour syrup over the tart once it is out of the oven.
  9. Let cool before serving.
