- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix hazelnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Layer phyllo dough in a tart pan, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Sprinkle hazelnut mixture and chocolate layers in between phyllo layers.
- Top with remaining phyllo and brush with butter.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine water, honey, and vanilla to make syrup and bring to a boil.
- Pour syrup over the tart once it is out of the oven.
- Let cool before serving.

- Ensure your phyllo dough is thawed completely before use.
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality chocolate.
