- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and instant coffee granules. Bring to a boil again, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, chocolate chips, and walnuts if using until melted and smooth.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Let it cool at room temperature until set, then cut into squares.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the amount of instant coffee granules.
- This fudge can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
