- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs

- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for custard)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla.
- Mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt into the creamed mixture until just blended.
- Spread the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- For the custard, whisk together heavy cream, powdered sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until thick.
- Once brownies are cool, spread the custard over the top.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the custard layer.
- Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares to serve.
Notes
- Make sure brownies are completely cool before adding custard.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for best taste.
- You can add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
