Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let it foam.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then mix in melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture.
  3. Knead dough until smooth, then let it rise until doubled.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing blueberries, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  5. Roll out the dough, spread the filling, and roll into a log.
  6. Twist the log and place it in a loaf pan; let it rise again.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Let cool before serving.
