- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer phyllo dough on a baking sheet, brushing each layer with melted butter.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough into a scroll shape and slice into pieces.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, boil until syrupy.
- Pour syrup over baked scrolls while still hot.
- Let cool before serving.
