Ingredients

  • 1 package phyllo dough
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pistachios)
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer phyllo dough on a baking sheet, brushing each layer with melted butter.
  3. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the dough.
  4. Roll the dough into a scroll shape and slice into pieces.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, boil until syrupy.
  7. Pour syrup over baked scrolls while still hot.
  8. Let cool before serving.
