- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add egg yolk and mix until dough forms. Press into a tart pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then let it cool.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just boiling.
- Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the chocolate mixture and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled tart crust.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Allow the tart to cool completely before slicing for best results.
- Serve with whipped cream or fresh berries for added flavor.
