Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine arepa flour, salt, and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
- Let the dough rest for about 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into round patties.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the arepas for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before slicing open and filling as desired.

- Make sure to use warm water to help the dough come together smoothly.
- Arepas can be grilled, baked, or fried depending on your preference.
